One would assume being the biggest star of the Pussycat Dolls, a solo singer, and a Dancing with the Stars champ makes Nicole Scherzinger a highly confident person. During a recent interview, The X Factor judge admits that she still gets nervous around people!

As for her judging skills, don’t expect her to be as sarcastic or biting as Simon Cowell. “I’m naturally a nurturing person,” says Scherzinger. “I grew up in the theater arts. I want to bring out the best with the people around me, whatever they are willing to give. I want to see people succeed.”
The X Factor, which also features judges Paula Abdul and L.A. Reid, premieres September 21st (Fox, 8 pm et/pt).
