Although I am psyched to see if Terra Nova, which premieres September 26th (Fox, 8 pm et/pt), is worth the hype, I have a horrible tendency of holding on to canceled shows (I’m still frustrated over the exits of Rubicon, Terriers, and Life Unexpected). During the recent TCA tour, I asked Terra Nova’s Jason O’Mara about his thoughts the controversial finale of Life On Mars, an ABC show which lasted just one season. In the show, O’Mara played Sam Tyler, a NYPD detective who travels back in time to 1973 to solve crimes. The surreal series finale, however, ended on…Mars.
Listen to Jason O’Mara talk about his thoughts on the Life on Mars ending (he also talks about the fan reactions to the climax):
O’Mara also recounts an amusing encounter with a Life on Mars fan while he was buying a hammer (Terra Nova co-star Shelley Conn is also heard on the clip):
Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Terra Nova also stars Stephen Lang (Avatar).
