GLEE: THE 3D CONCERT MOVIE I am still a fan of Glee, and although last season we witnessed appealing work from Darren Criss and Chord Overstreet (sad to see him go - wrong move Glee producers!!), most of the episodes failed to capture the magic of season one.

As a Gleek, I wanted more interesting story arcs for Will Schuester (Matthew Morrison) and Rachel (Lea Michele), and although both characters had life changing decisions by the season’s finale, it was just a little too late.  And other than the poignant relationship between Sue (Jane Lynch) and her sister, the writers also gave Glee’s most popular character the short end of the stick.

If you also miss the excellence of season one, fear not.  At the Glee 3D: The Concert Movie press conference, Lea Michele said that viewers can expect a “back to basics” season for Glee.  Click on the media bar below to hear Michele:

Glee 3D: The Concert Movie opens in limited release Friday.  The third season premiere of Fox’s Glee airs on September 20th (8 pm et/pt).
