Premiering September 19th (NBC, 10 pm et/pt), The Playboy Club is a series set around the popular 1960s Chicago nightspot, and the project has received its share of controversy, most notably from The Parents Television Council (check out the following E! Online story).

“Given that the controversy comes from group’s that haven’t even seen the show, I only take it so far,” says Amber Heard, who stars as Maureen, the newest Bunny to join the club.  “It’s like taking advice from a piece of art from somebody who hasn’t seen it yet.  It only goes so far.  After they see the show, I would be interested to hear what all the controversy is about.”
