Singer Mary J. Blige performs the inspiring song “The Living Proof” for the drama The Help (opening August 10th), and it’s the type of track that should hear its name called come Oscar nomination time.  Blige is also expanding as an artist, as she is a co-star in the Tom Cruise headlined feature Rock of Ages. After her work on Rock of Ages, Blige is set to play legendary singer Nina Simone.
