trans11Transformers: Dark of the Moon dominated the competition once again, as it made $47 million to beat out newcomers Horrible Bosses (#2, $28.1 million) and Zookeeper (#3, $21 million).  Here’s this weekend’s top 10:

1.  Transformers: Dark of the Moon - $47 million

2.  Horrible Bosses - The R-rated comedy received excellent reviews, as it reached a $28.1 million opening.

3.  Zookeeper - $21 million

4.  Cars 2 - Pixar’s latest offering has already made $148.8 million domestically.  This weekend, it added another $15.2 million.

5.  Bad Teacher - The Cameron Diaz flick has amassed $78.8 million and has a solid shot at surpassing $100 million domestically.  It made $9 million over the weekend.

6.  Larry Crowne - The Tom Hanks/Julia Roberts combo failed to ignite this film, which slipped to #6 in its second week and took in $6.3 million.

7.  Super 8 - $4.8 million

8.  Monte Carlo - $3.8 million

9.  Green Lantern - This summer’s biggest disappointment, as the critically maligned feature has made just $109.1 domestically - it’s a good number if you’re a romantic comedy, but a horrible figure due to its estimated $200 million budget.  The feature scrapes together $3.1 million this weekend.

10.  Mr. Popper’s Penguins -$2.9 million.
