Now playing in select theaters, The Ward centers on an institutionalized woman (Amber Heard) who believes that someone is roaming the halls of the psychiatric hospital and threatening the lives of other female patients (Lyndsy Fonseca, Danielle Panabaker, Laura Leigh, Mamie Gummer). The thriller marks the return of John Carpenter (Escape from New York, Halloween, The Thing), who hasn’t directed a full length feature since his box-office dud Ghosts of Mars.
