House actor Peter Jacobson is the voice of Acer, a “lemon” car who is one Mater’s (Larry the Cable Guy) adversaries in Cars 2. While traveling with Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson), Mater is mistaken for a high level spy, and it’s up to henchmen Acer and Grem (Joe Mantegna) to neutralize our resident hero.

During the Cars 2 press conference, the actor was also asked about the exit of House actress Lisa Edelstein. “It’s been a turbulent off season to say the least,” said Jacobson. “We’re pretty much in the dark. It’s not on purpose now, it’s no different now. As long as I’ve been on the show, you never really know a whole lot ahead of time what’s going on. They don’t do it for nefarious reasons, but they take their time and they sort of like to keep it a little private.”
