On tonight’s episode of Switched at Birth (ABC Family, 9 pm et/pt), the tensions between the families escalate, as John and Kathryn Kennish (D.W. Moffett, Lea Thompson) disagree with Regina’s (Constance Marie) parenting skills (and vice versa!).  Will the Kennish and Vasquez clan be able to co-exist, or will the battle over daughters Daphne Vasquez (Katie Leclerc) and Bay Kennish (Vanessa Marano) take its toll?

“We don’t have to fake conflict,” said Thompson.  “It’s earned.  The emotional things that happen are so perfectly set up for conflict.”
