In the new series Falling Skies, Noah Wyle (ER) plays Tom Mason, a former Boston history professor who leads a group of resistance fighters to protect civilians from aliens.  Executive produced by Steven Spielberg, the show premieres Sunday, June 19th (TNT, 9 pm et/pt) with a two hour installment.

“I like brainy superheroes,” said Wyle.  “Maybe it’s because I weigh 160 pounds, and I can’t readily see myself picking up a machine gun anytime soon and using it earnestly.  I like characters that have a long learning curve towards action.”
