Without a doubt, Close Encounters of the Third Kind was my favorite alien movie. It was just like Jaws in the sense that you really don’t get to see the antagonist until the end. Signs was another movie that did that pretty well. It really builds suspense when you don’t get a full sense of the creatures you’re dealing with.

This may sound repetitive and obvious, but it’s true. My favorite alien film is still James Cameron’s “Aliens” where he one-upped Ridley Scott’s “Alien”. Even though specials effects in films today are far superior to when it was released in 1986, this is still quite simply the best sci-fi film to this day I have ever seen.

It sounds stupid, but my favorite alien movie is “Alien”. It is my favorite, because this is the first serious movie I’ve seen when I was a kid, so it has made me who I am now. I was raised on old movies like “Alien”, “Commando” (another Swartzenegger movie lol), “Conan The Barbarian”, “Die Hard” and others.
