Based on the popular book series by Megan McDonald, Judy Moody and The Not Bummer Summer centers on third grader Judy Moody (Jordana Beatty) who is determined to have the best summer ever, even if her vacation starts off with a bit of a whimper.  The Hangover’s Heather Graham plays Aunt Opal, one of those rare adults who is actually up for a little adventure.

“I have these two kids, they’re my best friend’s little girls, and I’m their cool aunt,” says Graham.  “I get to play fun games with them and when I get to see them I take them sometimes on vacations, and we go to the beach together.  I also sponsor these kids at this charity, the Cambodian Children’s Fund, so I’m kind of excited that I’m like the cool sponsor that did a kids film and I can’t wait to send it to them.”
