The wolfpack (Ed Helms, Zach Galifianais, Bradley Cooper) are back in The Hangover Part II, but this time they leave Las Vegas behind and head to Bangkok, as Stu (Helms) is getting married. Unfortunately, the trio wake up from their hangover, only to discover that Stu’s future brother-in-law (Mason Lee, who is director Ang Lee’s son) is missing.
One would assume that the free wheeling nature of The Hangover films would lend itself to tons of improvisation, but Galifianakis explains that’s simply not the case. “I think we all have the temptation to go off script a little here and there but the sequel was pretty tight,” said Galifianakis. “So I don’t think we went off script as much as the first one but you throw out a fresh line here and there to keep it fresh. Whether or not it ends up in the movie or not, it’s not really the point. It’s not trying to hog the scene or anything, you’re thinking ‘Oh, let me see if I can make Bradley laugh.”
