PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES

Actress Penelope Cruz joins Johnny Depp on a search for the Fountain of Youth in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. During a press conference at the Cannes Film Festival, Cruz was asked how winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Vicky Cristina Barcelona altered her career.

“It really didn’t change the way I try to make a decision to decide on doing or not doing a movie,” said Cruz. “It was a beautiful thing that happened and the good thing is that it is in my house and every time I look at it I see all the people that are part of it.  All the people that gave me opportunities to work.  They gave me opportunities to make a living out of this thing that was a dream of mine growing up.  And I got to do it, and again and again and again and make a living out of being an actress.  So for me all of those faces, all of those names are there whenever I look at it.  So I’m very grateful.”
