NUP_141745_0788 One of this spring’s most talked about shows is Bravo’s freshman series Pregnant In Heels, which has turned maternity concierge Rosie Pope into a reality TV star.  The recent Saturday Night Live skit spoofing the show (with Abby Elliott playing Pope) should also give the show an extra boost.

“That’s the thing about Reality TV, we all say stuff a lot,” said Pope during the NBCUniversal press day interviews.  “And we don’t realize what we’re saying.  And then it’s caught on camera and everyone is going to have an opinion about it.  And with social media, you can be in your living room just tweeting away about your thoughts.  On the one hand, it kind of makes you a nicer person because you think about what you’re going to say before you say it.  But on the other hand, you can’t think too much about it otherwise you lose your personality completely.  It’s definitely a tricky balance for me. I’m definitely nicer about celebrities know.  Because you know what, I really don’t know them, so I’m not going to make a comment there.  But it is hard reading stuff about yourself.  Everybody is obsessed at the moment with my accent and whether I have a speech impediment, and I think that’s awesome.”

Although she’s been a New Yorker since she was 18, Pope is considering a move to the South with her family.  Click on the media bar and listen to her talk about her “phobia of the suburbs.”
