The upcoming film Soul Surfer centers on Bethany Hamilton (AnnaSophia Robb), who lost her left arm in 2003 after a shark attack when she was just 13.  After the tragedy, Hamilton remained passionate about surfing, and overcoming her various challenges serve as the heart of the inspirational picture. Dennis Quaid (Legion) and Helen Hunt co-star as Bethany’s parents, Tom and Cheri Hamilton.

“I enjoy it now more than my early twenties and thirties, I really do,” said Quaid when asked about how he approaches acting these days.  “I have more enthusiasm because I think I have less angst about it.  Certainly at this point of the journey, when you talk about being an apprentice and journeyman I would say I am at the masters level of it.  I still feel like I’m a student at what I’m doing. That’s what makes it really fun and interest for me, to kind of learn something new.”
