The Big Bang Theory actress Kaley Cuoco plays a career woman whose slacker brother (James Marsden) bonds with the son (Russell Brand) of the Easter Bunny in the family feature Hop (opening Friday).  In a recent interview to promote the picture, Cuoco talked about how her early start in acting (she started at 5) helped her get a “thick skin” for show business.

“When I was acting and auditioning, I always had to do two things. So if I was going to act, I had to do a sport.  I couldn’t just focus on one.  It was kind of brilliant because if something bad happened to one of them, I always had something to fall back on,” said Cuoco. “I was never devastated.  I never felt bad about myself, and I learned rejection so young.  My parents told me that it’s not going to be fun all the time.  When I was little,  I was working a lot and it was great and I was thinking this is the easiest thing ever.  Anyone can do this.  But then you get older and people say `You are so not right for this.’  I was right for everything when I was 6!!  I formed a very thick skin at a young age.  Even now, even though it’s such a great job, it is still to me a job.  I do other things.  This is not my life.”
