Although this year is far from over, Carla Gugino has worked on Californication (as Hank Moody’s lawyer), played a writer on Every Day, worked on a movie that’s available on YouTube (Girl Walks Into A Bar), donned a blond wig as a retired porn star (Elektra Luxx), and now she is the villain Madam Gorski in Sucker Punch.

“I thought the world Zack Snyder was creating was fantastic and fascinating,” said Gugino, who previously worked with the Sucker Punch director on Watchmen.  “I also knew he had been working on it for a number of years because he spoke about the project before…(Madam Gorski) was really still forming in the script that I first read and there was a lot to be discovered about her but I loved that she was this dual character and that she had this history that was implicit, there were just so many interesting things.”

Gugino has been acting since the late 1980s, and click on the media bar and listen to the actress discuss the surreal nature of watching some of her old work.

  Sucker Punch, co-starring Emily Browning and Vanessa Hudgens, was #2 at the box-office and took in $19 million domestically.
