Russell Brand stars in the remake of the Dudley Moore film Arthur, starring as the playboy who stands to lose his inheritance if he doesn’t marry a woman (Jennifer Garner) who doesn’t tickle his fancy. In real life, Brand is married to singer Katy Perry, and in a press conference to promote Arthur he talks about how he connected to the movie.
“The best thing you can do is fall in love,” said Brand, referencing the popular Christopher Cross song ‘Arthur’s Theme (Best That You Can Do).’ “This is why this film resonates so strongly with me and why I’m so happy with it. My life has been changed by falling in love so while I know that is a romantic idea and in this case, fictional, it’s something that’s happened to me.”
