It was an unexciting weekend at the box office, although Limitless was at the top of the heap. The action-thriller took in $19 million between Friday and Sunday and landed in the number one position.

Rango, the animated film featuring the voice of Johnny Depp held onto second place with an additional estimated take of $15.3 million. That brings the total receipts to $92.5 mil in just three weeks in theaters.

Battle: Los Angeles dropped from first place last week to third place in its second week out. That brings its total box office to $60.6 mil to date, which is just shy of its $70 million production costs.

The Lincoln Lawyer did an unimpressive $13.4 million for its bow into theaters, which is a far cry from its budget of $40 mil. The pic landed in fourth place.

Also debuting in theaters was the sci-fi comedy Paul, which ended up in fifth place with a meager $13.1 mil in revenue generated between Friday and Sunday. Paul also cost $40 mil to make, which means it’ll be a while before it sees its money back.

Rounding out the top 10:

6.    Red Riding Hood $7.2 million

7.    The Adjustment Bureau $5.9 million

8.    Mars Needs Moms $5.3 million

9.    Beastly $3.2 million

10.  Hall Pass $2.6 million
