“No animals were harmed in the making of this movie.” We’ve all probably heard or seen that phrase displayed prominently in the credits of many motion pictures.

Well, Director Jon Turteltaub has been working with the folks that actually do watch over all animals in film…The American Humane Society. And he has relied on the organization’s expertise in guarding their welfare for many years; the most memorable being Instinct starring Anthony Hopkins, Cuba Gooding, Jr. - and a host of wild animals, of course.

So it’s not surprising the filmmaker would be on hand representing the American Humane Society at the Natural Products Expo West in Anaheim, California over the weekend.

Turteltaub explains in the video below precisely why he’s a supporter of the animal protection group - and gave us a bit of info on his newest project Common Law…that employed a sizable amount of tough police dogs.
