Anna is about to pull the switch on the planet's first Blue Energy reactor, but Sid realizes that the size of the reactor is much too large for just the various Concordia sites - the Fifth Column needs to figure out what Anna is really up to. And Diana tells Lisa she must act against Anna now, fulfill her destiny and save humans from annihilation, on "V," TUESDAY, MARCH 8 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET) on ABC. The stars of V are heading into the home stretch of the second season and are moving toward a wow of an episode next week, according to series star Morena Baccarin.
Mark Singer, who starred in the original V mini-series, will be making an appearance on the updated V just in time for the season finale. He won’t be reprising his role, but will star as Lars Tremont, a member of a top secret organization. Tremont and his global group of high-ranking military and government leaders have long suspected that the Visitors are bad - and here on a mission that threatens the human population.
Baccarin tells HollywoodOutbreak.com that having Singer on the set was exciting…even if she wasn’t able to share a scene with him.
“I was on set and I got to take pictures with him and be a total dork,” Baccarin laughs.
And in the next few days we’ll also get an opportunity to watch an interview with Singer on Scott Wolf’s podcast just prior to the finale (Wolf stars as reporter Chad Decker on V).
Singer is the tip of the unexpected turn of events happening in the next two episodes. Baccarin confesses that the series is saying goodbye to a couple of regular characters.
“We have some deaths coming up,” she admits. “Some pretty important characters die. That’s exciting and traumatizing at the same time and you have a different version of the Fifth Column (alien sub-group) pop up.”
All of that is setting the stage for a third season, of course. No word on if that’s going to happen yet, but Baccarin isn’t dwelling on the fate of the series.
“I’m also not asking,” she points out. “I just figure those things will come to life when they’re ready. I think there is a lot of speculation one way or another, but you never know. Until the final decision I don’t want to get caught up with thoughts about it. I’ve been down this road many times and of course you want to do it for five years, but it’s not up to you…you don’t have that option. All I can do is my job – and I love it so, so much. And I’ll be thrilled if we get to do it again. If not, I have to believe there is a greater force of energy at work.”
V airs Tuesdays, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. The season finale is March 15th.
