Director Susanne Bier, whose movie In A Better World (Denmark) is nominated for a Best Foreign Language Film Oscar, has signed on to direct a remake of the French thriller Rapt, reports Deadline.com. During a recent interview for In A Better World (which comes out in the U.S. on April 1st), the 50-year-old said she is still energized by filmmaking. “I have a lot of fun doing it,” said Bier, who also directed the Halle Berry/Benicio del Toro drama Things We Lost in the Fire. “There might come a time when I don’t think it will be fun having a pick up at 4:30 but maybe I will then be in a position when I can say that!  But until now I’m kind of enjoying it, I don’t mind the physical strenuousness of it.  Everything to do with filmmaking I find fun and sort of…yeah it’s exhausting, but it’s so exhilarating.”  Click on the Media Bar and listen to Bier talk about her appreciation for fellow Oscar nominee The Social Network.
