David's last album is actually really good! It didn't sell well because it wasn't promoted by JIVE. People can't buy music that they've never heard, and they can't hear music that isn't played on the radio. It was JIVE's job to make that happen. Also, JIVE wanted David to be someone that he's not, and he wasn't willing to play their good. Good for him, I say! With a talent like his and an incredibly loyal fanbase, he'll be just fine. Yep. Which is a shame because "The Other Side of Down" is a really great album, soulful pop at its best. Especially the catchy title track, "Stomping the Roses" and "My Kind of Perfect."
