Marion Cotillard in 'Inception' (Warner Bros. Pictures)
Late filmmaker John Ford had a company of actors (John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara, Ward Bond) that would populate most of his movies, and it’s a creative decision that has been employed through most of Christopher Nolan’s career. Marion Cotillard, aka the dreamy vision named Mal from Inception, is planning to reunite with the director for The Dark Knight Rises, according to a report from Le Parisien. The final installment in Nolan’s Caped Crusader trilogy also features Inception actors Tom Hardy and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (and of course, Michael Caine), so the addition of Cotillard could turn Batman’s universe into Inception, Part Deux. Cotillard, who would have been perfect as Selina Kyle (a role which went to Anne Hathaway), is expecting a baby in April but she will reportedly start shooting in mid-June. Click on the media bar and listen to Cotillard elaborate on her inspiration behind her character in Inception (the actress was a bit secretive about the part, since this interview took place before the release of Inception).
