Lindsay Lohan has been charged with felony theft over a $2500 necklace. Just add this latest incident to the growing list of scandalous events in the actress’s life so far…and she’s only 24 years old.

Lohan had recently completed her court order rehab stint, where she was also accused of misconduct after an alleged altercation with a rehab worker at the Betty Ford Clinic. She’s still on probation from the 2007 drunken driving case that landed her in jail and rehab.

This latest charge carries with it the possibility of a three-year prison sentence if the actress is convicted.

Lohan is accused of taking a necklace from a store in Venice, California on January 22nd. Prosecutors want the Superior Court Judge Keith Schwartz to set bail at $20,000 according to the AP.

That’s a pretty costly amount for just “borrowing” a necklace.

The actress, of course, pleaded not guilty.
