There are two sides to this story.  The slow-day-in-the-news filler is that actor Shia LaBeouf has long been a nuisance at a Valley bar with his playful drunken aggressiveness.  Then events turn violent where cops have to handcuff the alleged hellion.  That’s according to snitches for TMZ.

Other (unnamed) sources tell TMZ that, as often happens in a place filled with unhappy hair-triggered lushes, LaBeouf’s face punched another drunk’s fist.  The (named) bar owner seems to confirm some of that.

The less interesting take is that Shia got ambushed outside the saloon and when cops arrived they cuffed everyone they thought involved in the caper and then released the suspects when (apparently) no one pressed charges.

The last version is probably the more accurate but it’s dog-bites-man and appropriately buried here on page 15.
