The original story went something like this; a necklace left a jewelry store in Lindsay Lohan’s possession without payment and she was at the center of a grand theft investigation.

It’s all rather serious because the LAPD is taking it seriously and since Lohan is on probation she could be back in jail as the whole thing gets sorted out.

Now, according to TMZ, Lohan left with the necklace because it was loaned to her by the Venice jewelry store (in question) employees.  The problem is that a stylist was suppose to return the item on a certain day and didn’t.

The necklace was finally returned to the store after the cops reportedly contacted Lohan’s probation officer.

The whole thing will probably be cleared up by the time you read this, so just disregard the story.
