Although the thriller The Rite is headlined by Anthony Hopkins, the film’s main protagonist is a disillusioned American priest named Michael Kovak, a part that should land Irish actor Colin O’Donoghue even more high profile roles in the future.  The story centers on Kovak’s journey to an exorcism school in Rome, and he performs several exorcisms with Father Lucas Trevant (Hopkins).  This writer asked O’Donoghue which was more intimidating, researching exorcism or landing the lead part in a high profile film.  Click on the media bar and listen to the actor’s answer (Alice Braga, who plays a journalist in the film, can also be heard in the clip).
