With awards season in full swing, The Social Network is leading the pack in the Best Picture category (it’s the odds-on favorite to win the honor at Sunday’s Golden Globes Awards). Aaron Sorkin is also a favorite to win the Golden Globe for Best Screenplay. “It’s been an incredibly exciting time for all of us and there has been a lot of individual recognition for the movie,” says Sorkin. “For Jessie Eisenberg’s performance, for Andrew Garfield’s performance, for David Fincher’s direction, for my screenplay, even. But the ones that we’re most proud of is the one that we did together, the Best Picture nominations. It’s been a year of great movies so just to be part of that conversation is really a thrill.” Sorkin is also jazzed about this week’s release of The Social Network on Blu-ray and DVD, and in a phone interview he elaborated on the extras that are featured on the two-disc set. In the following clip, Sorkin also explains why watching A Few Good Men (he penned the script) is like “looking at my high school yearbook picture.”
