True Grit moved up a notch from second to first place at the box office. The pic earned an estimation $15 million in additional revenue bringing its total take to date to $110.4 mil in just three weeks. The film has demonstrated its appeal with moviegoers by as moving upward weekly instead of declining.

Little Fockers dropped from first to second place and grabbed an additional $13,6 mil between Friday and Sunday. With a budget of $100 million, Little Fockers has recouped its cost (with a nice profit) in two short weeks.

Opening up in third place is the Nicolas Cage supernatural thriller, Season of the Witch. The film wasn’t able to connect with the audience despite its Oscar-winning lead actor. Season of the Witch raised a meager $10.7 mil, but consider it only cost $40 mil to produce, it could possibly eventually break even and perhaps turn a tiny profit.

TRON: Legacy has been in theaters for four weeks – and landed in fourth place with $9.8 million over the weekend. That means it has dropped just one notch below its third place rating last week, but that adds enough additional revenue to bring its estimated total to $147.9 mil. That, however, is still shy of its $170 million production costs.

Black Swan moved up significantly from its ninth place position to fifth place this week. The movie earned $8.3 million more this weekend bringing its total take in just six weeks to $61.4 million. The entire flick cost $13 mil to produce, which means Black Swan has already recouped its budget and added plenty of profit. Black Swan has been fueled by critical acclaim and terrific word of mouth.
