Guess who Piers Morgan’s first guest will be when his show Piers Morgan Tonight debuts on CNN later this month? None other than the ultimate media maven, Oprah Winfrey.

The announcement was made at the Television Critics Association’s bi-yearly event in Pasadena, California - direct from Morgan’s lips.

Morgan’s talker will kick off January 17th in the timeslot Larry King Live used to air, on that same net.

Expect a reaction from Winfrey later today when the talk show host takes the stage at the TCAs to promote her new OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), which took over Discovery Health channel on January 1st.
