The TV Land Awards, a program that has been a yearly event in Hollywood, will be moving to New York for the April celebration.

It just makes sense given two of the series that will be honored. The Cosby Show, starring Bill Cosby will be presented with The Impact Award, for offering viewers both entertainment and enlightenment, with comedy that reflected reality.

And The Fan Favorite Award is being presented to the cast of Family Ties for winning viewers hearts. Michael J. Fox, Meredith Baxter, Michael Gross, Justine Bateman and Tina Yothers, will all be on hand to accept the award.

Cosby and Fox are east coasters so the move will certainly make it more convenient for them to attend the extravaganza.

The TV Land Awards pays tribute to classic and contemporary luminaries of television, music and movies. The ninety-minute telecast will feature exhilarating musical performances and will reunite some of the most iconic celebrity TV casts.
