The Marvel comic book, Ghost Rider, has always had a loyal following. Academy Award winner Nicolas Cage was such a big fan of Ghost Rider that he made it his mission to star in the big screen version of the comic book. Back in 2007, Cage brought Ghost Rider to the big screen. Expectations for the film were very high, but the movie was not received well by critics or audiences.
With that kind of reaction to the initial film, movies rarely ever get sequels or even talks of a possible re-boot. Well, Ghost Rider is the exception. Cage is currently filming Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance, which will be released on February 17, 2012. There has been much speculation whether the film is a sequel or a re-boot of the first movie.
