Jason Segel in "Despicable Me"
Actor Jason Segel, who grew up cutting his teeth on the Judd Apatow show Freaks and Geeks, has matured into one of Hollywood’s more successful young actors, thanks to his work on CBS’ How I Met Your Mother and the hit films Forgetting Sarah Marshall and I Love You, Man. His latest film, Gulliver’s Travels, opens on Christmas Day, and he’s currently in production of The Muppets (he is an actor and a co-writer on the picture). With all of these projects either under his belt or in the works, Segel gives us some insight on yet another movie he recently wrapped. “I just finished a movie with the Duplass brothers, who did Cyrus called Jeff Who Lives At Home,” said Segel, who also co-stars next year with Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake in the comedy Bad Teacher. “It’s me with Ed Helms, Judy Greer, and Rae Dawn Chong. (It’s a movie) that I’m really proud of. It’s a bit of a dramatic turn, there’s some comedy in it. But it was really and it was a lot of improv, and I’ve never improved drama before which was a really challenging thing. I’m really proud of it, and it comes out next year. Yeah, so I’m really trying to challenge myself, for sure.” This writer was impressed Segel’s levelheaded take on show business, and click on the media bar and listen to why the successful actor remains humble.
