Michael Moore was on Keith Olbermann’s show Tuesday talking about his support of Julian Assange.

Moore announced that he had given twenty grand for Assange’s bailout in London, saying that he was a “pioneer of free speech.”

Then Moore intimated that jailing Assange was a government conspiracy.

But when the conversation between Moore and host Olbermann turned to the rape allegations, it appeared to some to be too critical of the two women who had brought the charges against Assange.

The progressive/feminist blog, Tigerbeatdown.com said that Moore was guilty of “rape apologism,” and should be shamed online.

Well, unless Moore is holding the camera he’s terribly camera-shy, so he has remained mute.  Feminist criticism then shifted to Olbermann.

Olbermann had to dismantle his Twitter page yesterday because  the outraged (over the Moore interview) overwhelmed his system.  But they’re also angry because Olbermann reportedly linked a site that actually identifies the women accusing Assange of the rape.

Tiger Beatdown writer Sady explains the editorial feelings on their blog, saying, “We are the progressive community. We are the left wing. We are women and men, we are from every sector of this community, and we believe that every rape accusation must be taken seriously, regardless of the accused rapist’s connections…and we are sick of being told that you should “never, ever believe” us…Because a progressive movement that doesn’t stand against rape isn’t a progressive movement. It’s just The Man, it’s just the oppressor, it’s just oppression, in a baseball hat, holding a camcorder.”

No longer protected by progressive compassion on their sleeves, (dumbstruck) Moore and Olbermann are accused by other leftists of mysogyny, of all things.
