Katee Sackhoff

As if we didn’t know this already, Katee Sackhoff is a Sexy Evil Genius in real life, but she’ll soon be one on the big screen as well. The former Battlestar Galactica hero and 24 villain will star in a movie of the same name, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Sackhoff will play the lead character in the movie, which is about a group of strangers brought together in a bar in Los Angeles by their common ex-girlfriend. Her intentions are not known, but by the end of the night, she will have exacted revenge on the men who did her wrong. As of now, no start date has been given.

But as interesting as the plot may sound, the story behind the story is even more fascinating.  The writer of the movie, Scott Lew, suffers from ALS (aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease), which has left him a quadriplegic. Though stricken with the illness, Lew writes using an infrared dot on his forehead, pointing to letters and words on the computer screen. In a Hollywood Reporter interview, he’s quoted as saying, “Writing is the only way I really get to express myself with complexity.” That in itself could be one amazing movie, and it’s always nice to hear an inspiring real-life story with a true Hollywood ending.
