Britney Spears Tweeted in plainspeak to all who have said untrue (but not unkind) things about her last week, telling the scandal rags “and the rest of you liars, yawl can kiss my lily white Southern Louisiana ass.”

In case anyone cares, and apparently there are an Earthful of people who do, Ms Spears was addressing a (perhaps bogus) report that her gentleman friend (Jason Trawick) had pounded her on general principles and that she told it all to her former quickie husband Jason Alexander (not the famous comedian, but who may in fact be a comic).

Spears’ manager, not being a lawyer was a little slow on the downstoke but eventually said “What (the scandal sheets) did is disgraceful and irresponsible! We will not take this sitting down,” to reuse an ancient cliche.

No matter what you think about Britney (if you think about her at all), she’s had more darts thrown at her from Lilliputians than anyone outside of politics.

It might be performance-artist justice if she’d live to see the bottom-feeders get their wish of fame and suffer from their own experience of savage media.
