Keith Olbermann entered his Countdown show screen-left after being sentenced to two days anonymity by NBC bosses for his $7,200 Democratic campaign donations.

MSNBC’s most popular host gave three joke apologies at the end of his show, including his landing on “The front page of the New York Times without being dead or in jail or Charlie Sheen or something!”

Of course, a cynic might say that being on the left means never having to say you’re sorry.
