Forgive my ignorance but I’m unfamiliar with the worldwide scream to make yet another version of Beau Geste…or Cleopatra.

It was widely reported that James Cameron would remake the story of the Greek-Egyptian queen with Angelina Jolie as Clio in the raw.

Well, Cameron announced (finally) that he was not going to waste the next precious year of his life for a Three-Dee-gimmicky camel and sandal.  Instead he’s going to concentrate on Pandora and two more Avatar movies.

No one at the annual Fulfillment Fund’s benefit thing in Beverly Hills had the high-T to ask the trillion-dollar director if he will tackle the fifth and final version of Beau Geste.
