Jackass 3D came in number one at the box office this weekend with a whopping $50 million in revenue. Who knew there were so many people interested in pain, puke and bodily functions? Well, apparently Paramount Pictures did and it paid off handsomely. Jackass 3D cost $20 mil to make, which means it has already recouped its budget.

The Bruce Willis action-adventure Red, featuring a cast of stellar actors including Oscar winners, Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, did respectable numbers. The pic took in $22.5 mil and landed in the number two position in its first week out.

The Social Network finally fell from first place in its third week out, landing in third place. The movie, based on the Facebook pioneers brought in a strong $11 million in additional revenue bringing the estimated total today to $63.1 mil.

Secretariat dropped from number three to number four in its second week in theaters and managed to earn an additional $9.5 million. The film has earned an estimated $27.5 mil so far, which is just shy of its $35 mil production budget.

The romantic-comedy Life as We Know It took fifth place adding an additional $9.2 million to its box office tally. And with $28.8 million in revenue so far, it’s still just shy of its $38 million costs.
