Bruce Willis plays a retired CIA agent trying to figure out who wants him dead in the new action film RED, which opens Friday and co-stars Helen Mirren, John Malkovich, Morgan Freeman, and Mary-Louise Parker. Willis, last seen hamming it up with Tracy Morgan in Kevin Smith’s buddy/police comedy Cop Out, sees his latest movie as a mixture of different genres; even though Frank Moses (Willis) is preoccupied killing whoever gets in his way, he still finds time to pursue a new love interest (Parker), a girl whose life he endangers while trying to multitask. Along with all the star-power behind RED, the movie also features a standout performance from Karl Urban as the dutiful government agent tasked to capture Moses and the rest of his crew (Malkovich, Freeman, Parker).
