"Huge" with Nikki Blonsky (ABC Family Network)

Throwing darts at fineprint is a more accurate predictor of choosing winning TV shows than outguessing the public, and the reason why there’s a new boss every week at the VP of TV production office.  After 10 episodes, the best that the critically-kind series Huge could generate was 1.9 million pair of eyes.

For those reasons and others that we’ll never be privy to, ABC Family announced today that it has canceled the Nikki Blonsky comi-drama set in a summer camp fat farm for teens.

Although the show was smartly produced and based on the popular Sasha Paley book, it just couldn’t get the traction for the magical boundary numbers.

Before the sky fell on Huge, the network announced that Secret Life of the American Teenager and Pretty Little Liars had been renewed with (presumably) justifiable Nielson ratings.

In the future everyone will be a VP of TV production for exactly five minutes.
