Some of the best films originate from a filmmaker’s obsessive and passionate vision to tell a deeply personal story.  Director Matt Reeves (Cloverfield) was personally drawn to the Swedish novel Let The Right One In by John Ajvide Lindqvist (a Swedish adaptation of the same name came out to critical acclaim) and decided to helm an American version of the story, Let Me In.  “The story it sort of wouldn’t let me go and it reminded me of stuff from my own childhood and growing up in that same period,” said ReevesLet Me In, which centers on a lonely boy (Kodi Smit-McPhee) bonds with his 12-year-old neighbor (Kick-Ass actress Chloe Grace Moretz) only to discover that she is a vampire, opens nationwide Friday.  For Reeves, Let Me In also explores the challenges of navigating through adolescence, and the feature contains excellent work from Smit-McPhee and Moretz.  Click on the media bar to hear Reeves discuss his latest passion project.
