Actor Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland) may be up for his first Oscar nod for his compelling performance as Facebook creator Mark Zuckerberg in The Social Network (opening today). Directed by David Fincher and penned by Aaron Sorkin, the picture centers on the early days of Facebook, as Zuckerberg becomes a billionaire but loses a few friends in the process (Andrew Garfield co-stars as Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin). Eisenberg has been a fan of Aaron Sorkin’s since the writer’s Sports Night days, and he was definitely pleased to collaborate with Sorkin for The Social Network.
