Cloris Leachman has an Oscar for her supporting role in the classic movie The Last Picture Show and an remarkable eight Emmy Awards for her performances on television that range from screwball comedies (The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Malcolm in the Middle) to high drama (The Woman Who Willed a Miracle). So, it’s not surprising she’d be the logical choice to play the eccentric grandma Maw Maw in the wacky comedy Raising Hope (Tuesdays, 9:00 p.m. ET/PT, FOX).

And at 84 years old, Leachman shows no signs of slowing down. In fact, she says getting the role on Raising Hope was the perfect part at the perfect time for her.
