Admit it, you’ve been waiting for the return of Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) since Wall Street first hit theaters in 1987. Well, he’s back in Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps and Gekko is just as driven as ever.
Gekko is out of the cooler and trying to alert the financial community of its impending collapse while he’s trying to find out who was responsible for the death of the mentor of a young trader.
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps is directed by Oliver Stone (who helmed the original) and also stars Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Susan Sarandon and Carey Mulligan.
You Again is a complete chick-flick comedy about public relations V.P., Marnie (Kristen Bell), whose brother Will (James Wolk) is about to marry former cheerleader Joanna (Odette Yustman) who made Marni’s life miserable in high school.
Of course craziness develops for a number of reasons. First Marni begins a secret strategy to end the engagement. Ramona (Sigourney Weaver), the aunt of the bride, has her own score to settle with her high school nemesis Gail (Jamie Lee Curtis), who also happens to be Marnie and Will’s mother.
Look, You Again isn’t going to win any awards for originality, but it is an appealing comedy with nice performances from all the cast. Besides, it actually has a moral message about bullying and forgiveness – and Betty White turns in another wickedly funny performance.
Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga Hoole is the animated fantasy about a Soren, a barn owl who is kidnapped and taken to St. Aggie with the intention of turning him into a soldier.
