Kid Rock

Singer, entertainer Robert James “Bob” Ritchie (also known as Kid Rock) has been ordered to pay $6,000 to a man that he had a disagreement with that turned hostile in Atlanta.

The Kid had pled guilty to misdemeanor battery in 2008 from the criminal end of the incident.  From the civil suit, Ritchie said he was innocent.

While the 39-year old Kid can well afford the six thousand, the big winner in the situation (known as the waffle house brawl) was the plaintiff, who was awarded a total of $40,000.

One lesson is, if you’re going to get into a fight anyway, make sure it’s with a celebrity (and it’s filmed).

The other is that if you’re rich and famous and have friends helping you fight someone, make sure there’s no cameras around.  Courts (and juries) are very kind to you otherwise.
