Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine (born Kattie B. Screws 80 years ago) filed a wrongful death lawsuit yesterday (along with Michael’s progeny) against her son’s last concert promoting planners for “putting its desire for massive profits” ahead of Michael’s well being.   This Is It director Kenny Ortega was personally named in the filing as well.

AEG Live planned a series of 50 This Is It concerts for Jackson before his death.  “AEG’s action and inactions,” the suit alleges, “led to Michael Jackson’s death on June 25, 2009.”

Jackson’s son, Prince Michael, the civil action alleges “has suffered great trauma and severe emotional distress,” and deserves damages (the legal payment kind).

The Jackson lawyer said after filing that “The purpose of this lawsuit is to prove to the world the truth about what happened to Michael Jackson, once and for all,”
