Marc Guggenheim, a co-writer for the upcoming Ryan Reynolds film Green Lantern, was hired earlier this year by Warner Bros. to pen treatments for a possible Green Lantern sequel and The Flash (both are iconic DC Comics characters).  “We’ve turned in the treatment for Flash,” said Guggenheim, who is working on the projects with co-writers Michael Green and Greg Berlanti.  “And we’re talking about Green Lantern 2.”  Guggenheim is definitely psyched about Green Lantern’s prospects, especially after a recent on-set visit.  “I went down to New Orleans two months ago to see some of the Green Lantern filming, and I got to see a whole bunch of things in connection with the movie,” said Guggenheim in an interview with Newsrama.com.  “In all honesty, I was completely blown away. I don’t think it dawned on me how huge this movie would be until I went down to New Orleans and really saw everything that I saw. It was incredibly eye opening.  I was really rendered speechless. There’s just no way for me to put into words, just how huge this movie is going to be.”  Whether Guggenheim is simply hyping the film will be determined when Green Lantern comes out June 17th, 2011.
